World War II: The Real Mighty Eighth
About
Overview
Early in 1942 the 8th Bomber Command was relocated to England and was subsequently renamed 8th Army Air Force, or The Mighty 8th. From 1942 to the end of WWII The Mighty 8th took part in hundreds of daylight raids against the Nazi forces in Europe with much success. Working in tandem with the RAF, they obliterated much of the Nazi war machine and secured their place in Military History.
